Manipur tribals seek refuge in Hyderabad, for President’s rule at home
19 June
For 31-year-old Angela Hoinui, a master's graduate from Delhi University and native of Manipur, Hyderabad is now her home and refuge. She is part of nearly 50 Manipuri tribals who escaped the ethnic clashes which erupted in the state on May 3. They are seeking shelter with friends and family in the city and taking the tough call on when and if at all they would ever go back.I can't imagine how my home - Imphal - could ever be like this. I don't think I can ever go back. I don't think I can trust anyone any more. It was like a zombie apocalypse with burnt cars and homes, Angela told.
